Match Highlights
Indonesia began the match on the front foot, looking to replicate their attacking prowess from their previous encounters. However, Laos, despite being of a different caliber compared to their earlier opponents, Singapore and the Philippines, posed an early challenge.
In the fifth minute, a penalty was awarded to Laos after Mathew Baker fouled Sayyavath Vansavath in the box. Phayak Siphanom stepped up and converted the penalty to give Laos an early lead.
Indonesia responded with a series of attempts, finally finding an equalizer in the 23rd minute when Gholy was fouled by Ki Mounkanyah in the penalty area. Gholy took the penalty himself and made no mistake, leveling the score at 1-1.
Turning the Tide

The momentum shifted in Indonesia’s favor in the 29th minute when a corner kick from Fabio Azkairawan was inadvertently headed into the Laos goal by their own defender, Sayyavath Vansavath, making it 2-1.
Just before halftime, Indonesia extended their lead to 3-1. A long throw-in from Fabio Azkairawan caused chaos in the Laos penalty area, allowing Josh Holong to head home. Indonesia struck again in the dying moments of the first half with a well-placed free-kick from Fabio Azkairawan, which I Putu Panji converted to make it 4-1.
Dominance in the Second Half
The second half saw Indonesia continue their search for more goals. In the 50th minute, Gholy had a powerful shot saved by Laos’ goalkeeper, Sumlivongvath. Despite a brief scare from an offside call denying Gholy a second goal, Indonesia remained relentless.
In the 61st minute, Josh Holong netted his second goal of the match, finishing a precise cut-back from Daniel Alfrido to make it 5-1. Shortly after, Laos had a rare chance, but Nur Ichsan made a crucial block to maintain Indonesia’s advantage.
Substitute Mierza Firjatullah added Indonesia’s sixth goal, calmly slotting home after a brilliant through ball. The match concluded with Indonesia firmly in control, securing a decisive 6-1 victory over Laos.
