Semen Padang FC Strengthens Squad with Five New Signings

Semen Padang FC (SPFC) continues to bolster its squad for the upcoming Liga 1 season. Following the announcement of two defenders and two goalkeepers, SPFC has now introduced five new players who will don the Kabau Sirah jersey.

The five new players are Arif Budiyono (Persis), Melcior Leideker (PSBS Biak), Miftah Anwar Sani (Kalteng Putra), Muhammad Ridwan (Persik), and Muhammad Dicky Indrayana (Persikabo 1973).

The first new signing is Arif Budiyono, who previously played for Persis Solo. Arif joined Persis at the end of the 2021 Liga 2 competition and immediately became a key player from the quarterfinals to the final. He played in four matches during the 2021 Liga 2, contributing to victories over Sriwijaya FC and Persiba Balikpapan. Last season, Arif was re-signed by Persis Solo mid-season in the 2022/2023 Liga 1 but only made one appearance from match day 22 to the final match day.

Next is Melcior Leideker Majefat, a striker from Papua born on April 20, 1994. Standing at 172 cm, Melcior began his professional career with Persiba Balikpapan in 2016. He later played for Badak Lampung FC in the 2019 Liga 1 Indonesia season, although the team was relegated to Liga 2. Following this, Melcior played for Kalteng Putra in 2020 and most recently joined PSBS Biak.

The third new signing is Miftah Anwar Sani, a former Indonesian national team player who debuted on October 8, 2021. Anwar Sani has previously played for Bosnia’s Liga 2 club FK Sloboda Tuzla, followed by Barito Putra, Persita, and Dewa United. His last club before joining Semen Padang FC was Kalteng Putra.

Then there is Muhammad Ridwan, a young player known for his good vision on the field. Ridwan was once called up to the Indonesian U-16 national team but was later dropped. He was called up again to the U-23 national team on May 13, 2022, making three appearances and scoring one goal. At the club level, Ridwan has played for several Indonesian clubs, including Sriwijaya FC, Persela, PSIS, Persik, Dewa United, and most recently Gresik United before joining Semen Padang FC.

Lastly, Muhammad Dicky Indrayana, a goalkeeper born on June 4, 1997, joins from Persikabo 1973. Dicky started his professional career with Bali United, where he played alongside his U-19 national teammates Yabes Roni Malaifani, Martinus Novianto, and Ricky Fajrin Saputra, brought in by their U-19 coach Indra Sjafri. Dicky made his senior international debut on March 21, 2017, in a match against Myanmar.

With these five new additions, Semen Padang FC is well-prepared for the upcoming Liga 1 season. The Kabau Sirah supporters are hopeful that the new signings will bring success and glory to their beloved team.
